The Colorado Association of Robbery Investigators (CARI) serves several functions:

Hosting the annual National Robbery Conference (NRC);
Development of professional contacts for investigators;
Maintaining solid relationships within the private sector;
Encouraging and facilitating the flow of robbery information and intelligence;
Providing crime prevention information and guidance to retail businesses, financial institutions and the general public.

Mark “Woody” Woodward

The Colorado Association of Robbery Investigators sadly announces the passing of our former Board President and the driving force behind CARI and the NRC. Woody was a highly respected investigator and trainer who was passionate about capturing robbers and passing on investigative knowledge to other investigators. This is a profound loss for CARI, the NRC, and his friends and family. Woody passed away on December 14, 2024.

National Robbery Conference and Major Crimes Investigation Symposium

The National Robbery Conference is a training conference that is open to all law enforcement personnel as well as qualified private security managers and consists of two and one-half days of dynamic classroom instruction provided by experienced law enforcement personnel. The instruction provided goes well beyond robbery investigations and also covers other major criminal investigations and networking with public/private sector partners.

The 2026 Conference is scheduled for May 27th – May 29th, 2026, at the Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort, Vail, Colorado. Registration is open now.
